Ingredients
2 cups frozen pearl onions
3 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon Corn Starch
½ teaspoon salt
1 cup grated Swiss cheese
1 cup whole milk
2 tablespoons White Wine or Sherry
¾ cup sliced almonds
Preparation
Step 1
Cook pearl onions according to package, drain.
Step 2
Make a cream sauce: melt butter, add corn starch, stir well. Add salt and milk, cook until it thickens.
Step 3
Add wine and cheese to the cream sauce, mix well.
Step 4
Add onions to cooking dish, top with cream sauce, sprinkle almonds over the top, and bak uncovered at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
