Ingredients

2 (16oz) cans green beans

½ cup bean liquid

3 strips bacon

1 cup minced onion

1½ tbsp flour 

¼ cup water

¼ cup vinegar

2 tbsp sugar

1 tsp salt

¼ tsp pepper

Preparation

Step 1

Brown bacon is a frying pan and remove to a plate.

Step 2

Sauté onion in the bacon fat until translucent.

Step 3

Stir the flour into the fat and onions. Add the liquids and seasonings, bring to a boil, and simmer.

Step 4

Add the beans and simmer.

Step 5

Serve with the crumbled bacon on top.
