Ingredients

¼ cup butter

½ pound mushrooms

¾ cup beef broth

¾ tsp salt

1 tbsp cornstarch

½ cup Sherry

Preparation

Step 1

Brown the mushrooms in butter in a saucepan.

Step 2

Stir in the broth and salt, and heat to boiling.

Step 3

Reduce heat to simmer. Blend cornstarch and Sherry together, and then stir this mixture into the sauce.

Step 4

Stir until the sauce thickens. Serve.
